As always, Nana came this first weekend in May because it's the Rainbow of Heroes Walk that raises money to support the families at Duke PBMT where Lindsey works. Mia loved spending time with her Nana and getting to go to the walk for the first year. But, the big news for her is that her friend Emma was born at 8:55am on Sunday morning to our friends Heather and Jerry. Only sadly Jerry was in Texas so we rallied for Heather and became her birth support team as she brought Emma into the world. Thanks to Nana being in town Lindsey and I were both able to join Heather and later our friend Hadley came too. We are so grateful to have been a part of Emma's birth and to have her (and her parents!) in our lives. Mia is looking forward to meeting Emma herself.
